Angela became drawn to the benefits of a regular yoga practice in 2003 after discovering its benefits in helping one deepen their understanding of the self and achieve balance and wellbeing. Having been a performer and teacher of many dance disciplines for 15 years, Angela ventured into teaching yoga.
In September 2013, Angela opened Shakti Connection Yoga Studio where she leads heated and non-heated yoga classes along with a team of instructors.Influenced by numerous teachings of anatomical movement and Reiki, Angela works with the subtle bodies as well as the physical. With constant focus on breath, alignment and the practice of presence, she assists a pathway of cultivating the inner knowing and joy within.
Angela is certified in Moksha Hatha Yoga, studying under Ted Grand, Jessica Robertson, Frank Jude Boccio, Deena Robertson and Dina Tsouluhas, Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, under the direction of Diane Bruni, Ron Reid, Marla Meenaskshi Joy, and Dave Bruni, Restorative Yoga lead by Cyndi Lee and is a Reiki Master under the guidance of Colleen Janik. She has studied Yin, Jivamukti, various styles of Vinyasa, Meditation, Pranayama, Yoga Therapy and Anatomy in order to better her understanding of an Asana practice and its benefits for the mind, body and soul. Angela is honoured to be a part of the Lululemon community as Yoga Ambassador to Lululemon Athletica Scarborough Town Centre and Oshawa Centre.
